Business Automobile Insurance
What is included?
Business Automobile Insurance includes liability for bodily injury and property damage along with physical damage to your vehicles,
including non-owned and hired vehicle coverage. Owners and executive officers who drive other people's autos
may require personal liability coverage with a "Drive Other Car" endorsement.
If your employees use their own vehicles or rental cars in the course of performing their jobs,
you will generally be at risk without "Hired and Non-owned Vehicle" coverage.
Additional Risks For Businesses
In addition to these special risks, businesses face many of the same issues as holders of personal auto policies,
only more is at stake. For example, without adequate Uninsured Motorists coverage, a claim that should be the
responsibility of the other driver may fall on your shoulders. This is particularly problematic for a business
with substantial assets. The question of which optional coverages should be taken on rental cars can also be
far more significant to a business that frequently rents cars than to an individual.
